  1. Curiosity allows your mind to become active, hence you write better and faster. Since you are likely to ask several questions, your quest to find the answers must be constant. Your mind is always put to work hence making it stronger and more flexible through the years. Curiosity is like a mental exercise because you let your mind work at all times. Hence, when it is time to write, words will flow easily.

Now, this is something that those incurious folks do not experience wherein new ideas may come to them but it may be hard for these people to recognize since their mind is not prepared.
  3. Being curious opens you up to a lot of possibilities. Curious folk more certainly see opportunities that ordinary folks would simply shrug off. The curious would always find a gem hidden even in the most uninteresting circumstances. Because of this, you might be able to easily put yourself in the mood for writing regardless of whether you are in the most boring setting.
  4. Curiosity never fails to inject excitement into your life. When you are curious, it is unlikely that your life will be boring. It will be hard to become bored when you are filled with excitement at all times. It is likely for you to find new ideas and concepts that can easily attract your attention. Hence, you will be able to find a good subject for writing no matter what. Your life is filled with adventure and glamour instead of monotony.

How to Become Curious

Now that you’ve understood the many benefits of curiosity then you are likely asking right now the question: How can I be curious?

  • Be open-minded

The best way to become curious is to keep an open mind. Take interest even on everyday happenings. You must be ready to learn, unlearn, and even relearn. Learn to observe things by simply not looking at them; you have to use your other senses.

  • Ask Questions

You can also develop curiosity by asking questions. Try to always see things through questioning: what, why, when, where, how, and who. Also, you may want to develop the habit of enthusiasm and stop patronizing being bored.  If you see things are boring then what you are only doing is to close your door for possibilities. Curious people are never bored; they are either enjoying a circumstance or learning something from it.

Let us leave you now with this passage from INC about curiosity:

Curiosity will help you become a true leader of the future.

Being curious helps you to innately think outside yourself. You will learn to think about others and others’ perspectives. Your curiosity will push you to get to know your co-workers, and the more you know your team members, the better you’ll be able to motivate them and leverage their talents. This greater connection between you and your employees will help build trust. This leads to a more open and positive working environment where people are not afraid to speak up about their ideas and be innovative in their work.
